About Us

Tiffin is an online space dedicated to celebrating food, the people who make it, and the places it comes from. We regularly feature essays, interviews, recipes, travel stories, and more that help situate Indian cuisine within a broader culinary and cultural context. We’re named for the light midday meal popular throughout India and for the ubiquitous, much-loved, lunchboxes that are used to carry those meals to schools and workplaces around the country.

What better way to bring together all the wonderful things good food should embody: convenience, variety, inventiveness, and, above all else, deliciousness!

We also host occasional pop-up dinners through The Tiffin Club, our New York-based dinner series. Drop us a line if you’re interested in learning more about these or want to inquire about a private event. And don't forget to join our mailing list.

You can read more about us in the two great features on The Tiffin Club below. And make sure to follow us on social media for the latest news on dinners, events, and new essays, interviews, and recipes on the site.
